You are confused. I know what it is, but there are a lot of different beliefs involved with it , and people choose different ones to follow.

I wouldn't consider myself a Satanist but I did read The Satanic Bible and I agree with some of what LaVey believed. It's kind of stupid to believe in the traditional idea of Satan, or to keep your life revolved around mocking Christianity so I don't understand why some people choose to follow that path. It's best to avoid dogma and just look out for yourself.

I may just buy that book. Ive been reading up on the Church of Satan and I've thought of many of the things Lavey wrote about like people being animals and that our instincts are obstructed by social standards.

Interesting stuff so far.

Only Laveyan, and I don’t do rituals so maybe not even that Laveyan

Basically, all it is is all religous "sins" lead to spiritual and physical gain and it’s impossible to not commit them in your life so you should embrace them "sins" are just a trap to make people sheep and come to the church for salvation. Laveyan Satanists believe that turn the other cheek, and love your enemies is bullshit; you should only give respect to those who deserve it.

In the simplest of terms do what you believe is right, be an individual, and indulgence instead of abstinence.
