Dude, I doubt any Jehovah witnesses use totse. And if they come to your house on Sunday mornings just ask them straight up. I think they're suppose to be honest and shit.

The only time a Jehovas witness would ever talk about totse is if one of their kids accidently stumbled on it and they needed to bring it to the attention of other Jehova parents. I can't say for sure but I would imagine they disagree with cannabis use completly and find it a negative element in society.

That is a very safe assumption. I'm sure they also feel the same way about alcohol consumption and tobacco use.

Not a JW, but have family members that are...and know more about their beliefs than most other folks that aren't practicing their religion. Please keep in mind I don't know chapter/verse reference of WHY they believe what they do....just the general belief system.

First off, of all the religious people I've met/debated religion with...they are the most sincere and NON hypocritical that I have encountered. They don't just cherry pick the verses that suit them, they live their lives the best they can to how they interpret bible.

They go door to door because in their eyes it is an obligation of theirs as commanded by god to spread "the word".

They do NOT condone cannabis use as it falls into the "defilement of body" realm (same with tobacco). Also, they do not break the laws of the land they are living in, unless it goes directly against Bible teachings.

They DO allow alcohol consumption, although frown upon drinking in EXCESS.

The truth of all this is, most Jehovah's Witnesses get a really bad rap. They are much more rational than other religious people, and aren't as whacko as other Christian organizations. The problem is...the door to door calls ARE annoying to folks that aren't receptive, and it leaves a bad taste in people's mouths. Also, just like in any other organization there are weirdos in that organization and if someone witnesses strange behavior by ONE individual...then a false assumption is made that the ENTIRE organization believes the same. A quick example to make my point.....

Lets say you live next door to a family and find out they are Jehovah's Witness. One day you are out in your yard and ask the husband if he wants to have a beer with you. He says..."no thanks, I don't drink alcohol". Many people then come to the WRONG conclusion of..."Jehovah's Witnesses don't drink". The reality is that person has made the individual choice not to drink, and now the entire religion is made out to be against alcohol.
