I should get a couple hundred yards if I'm outside. I only tried it inside (it was dark out) from about 20 feet away. But from that short distance I could over power any other radio station. I'll have to test it outside this weekend and check my range.

I'm not denying it. You can clearly see canakit.com right on it. I'm just saying a assembled it and it works and its cool. We all need to start somewhere, right? So what have you built? Post pics!

It probably was just a pre-printed board and required most of the components to be soldered in. Even that takes a bit of work and isn't exactly child's play.
