I was just sitting here, pretty bored and came to think of something. If you enter heaven, is it possible to die up there? if yes, where do you go? if no, how come?

I'm sorry what? As far as i understand the only way to get into heaven is to die, so no you can't die up there.

Well, then what happens if you stap yourself in the throat with something? jumps off a cliff?....
I'm assuming you still have your human body (Atleast in Islam where you get, is it 15 virgins, when you enter heaven. I't would be pretty damn lame to fuck girls as some kinda spirit/ghost).

the whole concept of heaven is retarded. If you can never die that would fucking suck. Our minds need to be stimulated constantly, with new and exciting things. The ability to check out the entire universe at will would last a couple hundred years. Trying to reach the ultimate knowledge that god holds. Researching whats outside of heaven, what created God, etc. Would there be any limit to what you can learn outside of the human mind. Although stuff like that would most likely get you banashed to hell. But then what? 15 virgins, fuck that would get boring after a couple years.

Is there a suicide lineup pleading to god to end there existance?

I've heard a catholic say once in heaven you loose all emotion. Something to do with the bible saying there is no sin in heaven. Sin comes from emotion, therefor you must be stripped of your human nature when entering heaven.

I totally agree with you, i just wanted to hear it from the view of religious people. Since to me, it doesn't make any sence at all.

That's horrible, you'd be like a robot. But really, if you had your emotions and were allowed to learn, if there were an infinite amount of things to learn, it would take an infinite amount of time.

If you're basing this question on fundamental Christian tenets, your physical body dies here on earth, and then your soul goes to Heaven for judgment. You are either accepted into Heaven, or sent to Hell at that time. There is no mention in scripture of soul mortality. In fact, it is quite the opposite. Souls are eternal entities, regardless of where they reside.

Then that Catholic hasn't read any scripture on heaven. There will be no sin, this is true, but we will not be emotionless.

There's no mention of 'immortal' souls as you would understand them in scripture either. Infact we are told that there isn't such a thing.

The whole 'when you die your soul goes to heaven' came in much much later. Infact even the idea of Heaven as most christians would understand it can't be found in scripture.'

The fact that scripture dictates that either fate our souls meet (whether heaven or hell) is "eternal", I hardly see how anything contrary could be surmised.

Also, can you please expound on your assertion that, "the idea of Heaven as most christians would understand it can't be found in scripture." ? Because I can show you at least ten scriptures that describe heaven...

First assumptions and now surmises (is that a word?)?

I'm sure you could find even more than ten if you tried hard. There is, i'm sure, no end to the verses which can be twisted (arse raped) to support some tenet of the mainstream christian faith.

So, you rely upon the gnostics, then ?

Actually coffee, ciggies and Mastercard as a rule...and the sure and certain knowledge that 99.9% of christians will continue to demean and abuse scripture by not treating it as an historical (and usually bloody accurate) document before they start to 'interpret' it.

Now now Jack - you know most of the Christian faith have moved on from needing the bible any more. It's great when it backs them up, but no longer necessary. It's more of a general guide than a bible now. Perhaps they should rename it.

Power is their bible now. Money is their God.

I'm from Sydney, so all I can say is.... Hillsong Church Pty Ltd.

Im pretty shur he thought of heaven as a one way ticket. Once your in your in. So if theres no sin, the thought of sinning gets taken away. Which is emotion/human nature.

What do you believe? That heaven is not a 1 way ticket. If you piss of god even once throughout eternity (did you know eternity is a really long time) that you will go to hell for eternity. Or that god takes away your ability to sin. So basicly your only emotion is joy. Sooo your a pothead for eternity.

Isn't that a wonderful little money spinner? $40,000 a year of something? With almost a million from the taxpayer.

Wish I could have pulled a stunt like that.

$40,000? More like $40,000,000...... all tax free and un accountable.

As much as I hate those particular type of god botherers, they sure know how to make money!

Yeah, I do mean $40,000,000. Such a mindboggling amount of money for someone like me - easy to misplace a few zeros. :)

yes, when you go to heaven God immediately body slams you into oblivion.

but that's only because you suck.

sorry. =/

BTW, I don't even understand where all this "heaven" talk comes from. I only heard Jesus talk about the Kingdom of God...

This is part of the reason I find it almost impossible to believe in a heaven.

If one's ultimate goal in life is to die and go to a place where you are constantly happy, happiness loses all value. If you are unable to sin, you do not have freedom of choice. If you do not want to sin, you have lost your human nature.

Does God want friends or slaves?

Interesting... my former priest (way back when I was a deluded theist) said that a perfect world would occur if we all followed The Ten Commandments, maybe that is the kingdom of God? Although if it was, would we be able to refuse people entry much like Jesus says? Hmmmmm... Discuss?

Ill tell you what I was told: We are free to follow God or free to go to Hell. -Pastor Rod

Personally, I would rather cease to exist than be conscious for eternity.
