I know about "Thou shalt not steal" but I also know Deuteronomy 23:20 says "You may charge a foreigner interest, but not a brother Israelite, so that the LORD your God may bless you in everything you put your hand to in the land you are entering to possess.".
So it seems different rules apply to how we treat non-Christians.
Today I went to get something to eat at a Muslim owned resturant and I heard this voice telling me that I shouldn't go there because the money probably goes to Hamas or Hezbollah or whatever.
Then the arab guys who work there went in the back while I was eating and I went to get some more napkins which were by the cash register and I noticed the tip-jar.
No one in sight, and it was right there. It was almost like God wanted me to liberate that money from Muslim captivity and bring it into a good Christian home.
I didn't steal it because I remembered the 8th commandment and I left.
So what do you think about this? Is it okay to take from practitioners of false-religions or is this wrong?
Since all religions are false... yes.

There is a great quote in Christianity that is often spoken but rarely listened to. What would Jesus do?
I think the answer is quite obvious.

I can't imagine Jesus going into a shop and stealing a jar of money from the counter. You can?

Well, maybe he'd do it if he was pissed off because they're not worshipping his father? :p
He did freak out in that temple about the money changers. :)

If your being serious then put yourself in their position. Would it be okay for a bunch of muslims to be come into your house and take your money? Fuck you. Your just as bad as their extremists by trying to prove some just point and to not even have an ounce of thought that your wrong.
If your seriously joking then I will. Less money for their bomb making and bets on their camel jockeying races. Mabey they will feel sad without that new turban they've had their eye on. (that was a joke I really hate people that actually believe that)

What on earth does that verse have to do with stealing? Maybe you can explain the connection you see.

I was kind of hoping you were joking, but... it seems you're not. So:
You cannot =prove= that Islam is a false religion. And even if you could, why does it matter? The people in that restaurant aren't trying to hurt you. They just want to feed you. They're not going to put anthrax in your sandwich, or send your money to some sort of underground bomb lab or something. They're making a living like everyone else.
If God said "Don't Steal", and you want to please God, then don't steal. It's simple.
