Lately I've become more interested in the old Norse/Danish gods and it seems quite interesting.

Although at the moment I only know one 'Odinist' so it's hard for me to come across information, although what I have talked to him about has been fairly enlightening.

But my actual question, do any of you know anyone who worships the old gods? Including gods like Zeus and Ra from other old religions

I knew some Chinese kid back in high school who claimed to worship Thor. He wore a Mjolnir pendant around his neck.

My middle name is Thor and with my ego I probably worship myself, so I suppose so.

Personally, I think it'd be cool if the obscure, Ancient Greek religion "Orphism" had a comeback. It's kind of like the western version of Buddhism and seems to be healthier than most western religions.

If I had to worship a god(ess)... it'd probably be Ra or Bastet!

I worship nothing--I do love the eternal Great Spirit, even as he/she/it/them/whatever loves me.

However, I gretly respect some lesser spirits, such as Tlaloc, the Aztec rain god.

A Chinese kid worshipping Thor is funny.

I worship the Norse gods. I study runes and use the advices of the Havamal on a daily basis.

Hail brother. I'm interested in learning more about casting runes etc. If you could offer any help, I think my email is my profile, so just add me on msn

Man norse mythology is great. I like it almost as much as greek.

I don't know anyone who actually practices the religion, though I do know a zoroastrian. Now that's old school.

MilkandInnards:

I hate to be a hawk for certain products and distributors, but The Rune Gild (http://www.runegild.org/) offers a coursebook called the "Nine Doors of Midgard" by a man named Edred. The guy's written countless books on the topic of rune magic, meditations, casting, and things like that. The various forms of rune-casting and rune-interpretation are in the book as well, so it's a good reference point. Only problem is, it's a book you pay for - and probably couldn't get anywhere else.

There should be other Internet-related sources that can help you out. Google "Runecasting" or "Rune Galdor" to figure out anything else for free. Just keep in mind to do lots of meditations on the true meanings of each of the runes. You don't want to be flipping back and forth from page to page while you're doing a rune-casting.
