Ok, Im sick of the local pop radio station. Like any pop radio station they play a handful of crap music, then mix in some celeb gossip and advertisements for weight loss/debt relief.
I want to build a fairly power FM jammer. Ten watts is probably the ceiling of my needs. In my dreams I would be salvaging parts out of welding machines and CRT monitors.
What are the effects of using a too small antenna?
Can I find a sine wave generating circuit and replace the components with parts rated for higher currents?
Is it possible to use several smaller circuits and get them to generate a sine wave in sequence?
Are car antennas inefficient for broadcasting?

You want to build a 10 watt transmitter to jam a radio station so you don't have to listen to it? That's funny.

Here's how you save a butt load of money:

Ready for this?

->Listen to a different radio station.

put 10 watts into a car ant and enjoy the 3 foot (if that) jam radius you'll get.
better chance of stopping an abrams with a golf cart.

(commercial radio stations use holeyshitloads of power. thats just for starters.)

Most radio stations broadcast on the megawatt level, sad to say it but 10W of Tx isn't going to cut it.

Out of curiosities sake, does anyone have any plans for a transmitter that generates all sorts of RF interference? sort of like a multi band pain in the ass.
