I have a 1/4 wave VHF antenna I'm planning on putting up tomorrow. Before I started I just wanted to be sure that bolting a steel "L" bracket to the ground plane (20" disc of sheet metal) using a pair of U bolts won't cause much damage to the effectiveness of the groundplane. Yea? Ney?

yea. shouldnt make any diff, put up a pic when u done, i havent seen a solid GP used before.
