I've seen many people post messages about "faith", saying that you don't need proof in God, the whole point is to have faith and other related things.
I can see how this may be annoying to many people.
I can't help wondering that people don't even know exactly "what" it is we are supposed to have faith in. Is it faith that god exists, faith that we'll get to heaven by following Jesus's word, or what?
Here is how I think faith gets you to what people refer to as heaven.
In a nutshell I believe that it's the faith that upon confrontation, your fear is replaced by love.
Because essentially God is love and God is everything, so therefore everything is love. But if you are afraid to look at it, you will not experience that love but only the imaged representation of what it is that you are afraid of.... this is what people call hell.
Your fears are areas of life that you are afraid to look at. But if you are afraid to face what you fear then how can you know if it's really that which you think have built up in your mind.
Take spiders for example. People build up the notion that they are terrified of spiders. Whenever they come upon a spider they immediately scream and turn away. How then are they supposed to find out that there is nothing scary about spiders if they don't stop and look at it? If they don't face it? All they have to go on about what a spider is, is their preconceived notions.
But if you were to stop and really look at a spider, you'll see that it's just as beautiful a creature as anything else on the Earth. You fear will be replaced by love.
This goes for everything. The fear of telling someone how you really feel, the fear of standing up to a bully, the fear of doing a presentation, etc.
Faith is believing that it's worth facing that which we fear, because beyond your fears is love.
Religious people say that God is love. To have faith in God is to have faith in love.
It's faith that there really is a heaven and the only reason you can't see it is because you are afraid to look at it. Do you experience a heavenly feeling when you look deep into your lovers eyes? I guess yes.... or are you afraid to look deep into someone's eyes? If you faced this fear you would be dumbstruck by beauty.
Liberation comes from facing a fear. It comes from facing the devil (fear) and seeing that he wasn't their all along, it was God (Love). The devil is a representation of your preconceived notions about what you were afraid to look at.
To reach heaven you need to have faith in God.
To reach heaven you need to have faith in Love.
You are already in heaven, but unless you look at it you'll only experience your fearful notions about what you have so far been afraid to look at.
Have faith that facing your fears will liberate you from them. This is liberation!!
