Tonight it's going to be at its peak. You might have seen some in the past few days but tonight it will be at its peak. It will be from 9PM to 5AM tonight. 2AM is the predicted peak hour with even a dozen per minute!!! Discuss :]

If you're not in an area overcome by light pollution, you're lucky because you'll see a crapload. I wonder if the Brits out in the boonies got a good show already?

Mad Scientists?
Im in the UK, went outside last night about 11pm with a pint amd laid on the sun lounger looking up at the sky. Didn't see any for ages and then suddenly started seeing loads. Im sure i would have seen more but damn light pollution. Last year when in France i did the same (wasn't any particular meteor night) and managed to get several and this 1 massive one which streaked over 1/2 way accross the sky and looked more like a plane in terms of brightness. The sky's a beautiful thing.

Damnit, every time I have the chance to watch a meteor shower, it rains or gets cloudy. Chicago light pollution is bad enough. Of course, the entire month prior it was clear night skies.
Happened a few years ago when I wanted to watch the Leonids too.

I'm no astrologist.
You're probably no astronomer either.
However that's ok, seeing as that's not what this forum is for.

Heh...I thought you were the Conspiracy! mod and you didn't pick up on what I was saying to you? :p I guess you can't see into the future either.

Astrology is SotD, a message which Armsmerchant has engraved into the foreheads of several people with the pointy end of his shaman staff.
Unless of course I've completely missed the astrology/meteor shower/conspiracy/Green planet angle (aliens from the third house of Sagittarius are burning holes in the ozone layer with micro meteors, as predicted by Nostradamus? WTF? ).
I suppose I could always ask for a transfer. I've noticed recently there are couple of vacancies in one or two of my old haunts. :p

OooH, in the UK?
I have a top floor studio appartment so I can clamber out onto the roof with a case of beer if it's going to be over this country. I might to that anyway.

I made a quip at SOTB by saying I was no astrologist because he mods Conspiracy and he made the comment I responded to, when the real science here is astronomy...get it now?

Why are you not a Mod anymore, again? Never mind.
p.s. I'm sorry. I just couldn't help it. **slaps self upside the head**. Ok, I'm better now.

If any of you had read day of the triffids, you would know better than to look at any massive celestial events.
