Really? The Qu'ran I read was a very un-hateful book, advocating a shitload of being nice, looking after people, and never taking war too far.

not necessarily. I havent read the entire qu'ran, i must admit that i got bored in the middle (but can you blame me? i'm 15). Anyways, there was one line, which i forget exactly what it was... but it was something along the lines of non-believers are below the believers and Allah doesnt believe in them. Now someone could take this the wrong way and think that it meant non-believers shouldnt be on earth because they are nothing anyway.

It specifically says not to kill those who aren't fighting you. Only in context can you ask if it says to kill the unbelievers.

Unbelievers refers to a militant Arabic Pagan tribe: the Quryash. The Qur'an basically states that Islam is an improvement of Judaism/Xianity.

Let me state that I myself am not a Christian. However, those atrocities you mention happened a long time ago... Muslims are committing their atrocities in the here and now.

Oh and the Dark Ages happened because of the fall of Rome not because of Christianity. You can blame that period on the Germans.

Like I said I really don't have a horse in this race. But the fact that the US or any other nation has sold them weapons is beside the point. That they are killing each other and blowing up other people is. The US sells weapons to many nations and they don't do what the Muslim's do with them.
