Before they existed, you didn't see cultures that fought each other just because they had a different religion, I mean just look at all the Asians, they have existed without the need for fighting over religion. I think the main reason for the war isn't the religeon but, rather the structure of a corrupt church. Now the chuches are debatable on the degree of corupt/insane of the men and wemon involved. What I don't understand is why a soldier would fight for patriotism when they themselves will never actually own the land they fight for. The use of religeon for war was just an excuse made by whoever could profit from it.

Yeah things were so much better when we only had to worry about Russians and Americans blowing up the planet over capitalism and communism.

Maybe true for catholic christianity, where the pope could declare crusades, but how do you explain Jews and muslims going to war? Islam and Judaism aren't centralized religions.

i think what he was getting at was that although they did have wars and whatnot, they were not over religion. It was just one group of people fighting another and the religion part wasnt thought of
