Yes I tried it. I asked Satan for million dollars.........I got about as much result as I did when I used to pray to God. Which come to think of it was the exact same response I, as a child, used to get from my imaginary friend when I used to ask him to do anything.
Maybe God, Satan, and the Easter bunny are all the same. Bad works of fiction.

I highly advise against it.
Although God and Satan contain all the powers of the universe in both their hands, Satan represents all that is evil in this world, and the Source Power (what others call God) represents everything is good.
You could sell your soul to Satan. And no doubt all your wildest dreams WILL come true in this physical plane of existance.
But when you die, he will own your spirit, your mind, and your soul. He will dictate whatever he wants to happen to you when you're in his world, and there will be nothing you can do to stop it.
I advise pledging your soul to the Light, rather than the Darkness.
However it is not my choice to make. That choice is completely up to you.

There is no choice. There is nothing physical to represent a pact between you and the devil. He does not appear. You sign nothing.
Therefore how do you sell your soul? You make a pledge? You say out loud. "Satan you can have my soul if you give me one million dollars right now".
Go ahead.......say it.
Damn, didn't get the money did you? Guess the deal is off. Satan just botched a deal for your soul. What a shitty business man this prince of darkness is...this dark evil...this devil.
Give me a break.

I think Satan has to be real for it to work though...
I wish I could. How needs a soul?

The selling thing....impossible.
And BrokeProphet, I understand what you are saying. The idea which 'God' has become is indeed false.
But to people like me, God means something else, and it will always exist.

So, you're saying they're just the same things? If I sell my sould to the Devil than I will have to do his will in the next life but, if I sell my soul to God then in the next life I will also have to do his will. Lose-Lose situation

It's probably because the one thing i want is the one thing no supernatural power is going to dare give me.
I would have no problem selling my soul to the devil for money. I can just use my money to buy a new one.

When I was younger I would ask of satan to do things for me in exhange for my soul. When the requests never came to be I thought that meddling god was fighting satan so it couldn't happen and the only reason I turned to satan for what I wanted in the first place was because god never met my requests.

This shit isn't even a part of Christian mythology. The idea of selling your soul to the devil was started in The Devil and Tom Walker as far as I know.

Matthew 4:8
'Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to him, "All these i will give you, if you will fall down and worship me."
Sounds a lot like the idea of selling your soul for gifts/glory to me.
Id also advise against selling your soul to the devil... not because im preachy like the guy before, but think about it logically for a second.
If you try to sell your soul to the Satan then one of two things will happen
A (the likely): Absolutely nothing, there is no devil he doesnt take your soul and you dont get your money. You just wasted your time and looked pretty foolish.
B (doubtful): Shit... Satan does exist, you now are no longer the owner of your soul. You really should have asked for a lot more, because the million dollars you just won really isnt worth eternity in hell.

Looks like I owe somebody a "my bad," but Satan tempting Jesus is a lot different than what I was thinking of when the OP asked if anyone had tried to sell his soul to the devil. I still kind of think The Devil and Tom Walker started the idea that the OP is asking about.
Why am I arguing semantics over something I think is bullshit to begin with :(

Im not argueing one way or the other. I agree that the idea of the devil popping up and you signing a contract in blood while he wrings his hands together smirking is probably a more modern idea.
But the text i quoted leads me to think that even people of the 'olden days' may have had this notion that you can recieve powers and wealth through pacts with the devil.
I believe that many people thought 'Witches' made a similair pact to recieve thier 'powers'.

This is just plain silly. One, there is no such thing as Satan--it is just part of the Christian mythos.
Two, your soul--your essential self--is eternal, immutable, invulnerable. It cannot be sold.
You can't sell something that doesn't exist to someone who doesn't exist.

IMO one disproves the other. If I say out loud (which I am doing as I type this) this "Satan...Prince of Darness...Thou unholiest queen of hell...I offer to you my eternal soul to do with as you will...For this, I ask that you give me one million dollars in cash and stacked nice and neat on my living room floor right at this very moment in time."
Waiting....
Waiting........
Shit. No puff of smoke. No demonic laughter. Nothing but the hum of my CPU fan to be heard. No million dollars. I still very much poor. She didn't deliver. Since A occured right now...B is untrue. Either that or Satan decided she did not want my soul for a paltry million (a bargain if you ask me).

Yup, all wishfull thinking.
No soul, no god, no satan.
Simple.
But even if there were. I wouldn't mind owning a kingdom in hell.
Aslong as my soul doesn't get ripped apart like the demons in hellraiser does
with the souls they take.. scary..

Firstly, you can't sell your soul to satan, at least not permanently.
As long as you are alive it is not too late to repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ, no matter how many sins you have committed.
Jesus Christ died on the cross so you can have eternal life and be forgiven! God doesn't want to condemn you to hell!
That being said, what an absurd idea. Why would you accept an eternity in hell for a finite amount of pleasure?
---
A common misconception is that satan has a side that can be joined, that you can be his ally. This is not true. Satan has no allies, no friends, his only mission is to destroy you and whoever else he can. Satan has come to kill, steal, and destroy! (John 10:10)
Satan has read the Bible and he knows that in the end he will be destroyed and cast into the lake of fire. Satan is like a bank robber who is surrounded by the police and knows he will not escape with his life, he's not interested in making alliances, he's only trying to take down as many people as he can before he himself is taken down.
Furthermore, Satan is not like some sort of unholy merchant. He's not going to offer you a million dollars for your soul when you've already rejected Jesus Christ and he can have your soul with a $2 porn magazine.
---
Lastly, you might think you can make some sort of arrangement with satan and then repent on your death bed. This might sound like a profitable, albeit evil scheme; however, you never know when you will die.
Perhaps satan will manage to kill you before you have repented? He's not going to give you all sorts of worldly possessions only to be cheated out of your soul on a technicality. Repent & accept Jesus Christ now while you still have a chance!
---
In short, trading your eternal soul for a finite amount of pleasure is the worst bargain in the universe. Satan is a liar, his only goal is to destroy you; however, Jesus Christ came so that if you trust in him you may live!

Exactly, Satan doesn't need to pay you for your soul. He already has it if you've rejected Jesus Christ!
Satan may have been stupid to rebel against God; however, he's still smart enough not to pay for something he already has.

Edit: Oh and the idea of selling ones soul to the devil goes way back in European (as well as mid-East) culture, Faust would be a good example. Don't any of you fuckers read?

I went down to the crossroads, fell down on my knees.

Asked the lord above for mercy, save me if you please.
I went down to the crossroads, tried to flag a ride.

Im going down to rosedale, take my rider by my side.

I believe that if religion is right at all (which there is no evidence) and satan is the trickiest of the trickiest dicks...the best deciever the world has or ever will see then what would be his greatest trick? Convincing the world he didn't exist? Thats a start.
How about Christianity itself as a construct of the world's most deceptive creature?
The greatest trick of all was convincing Rofflle that Jesus is the truth, the light, the way.
Unconvinced? Look at the history of Christianity and tell me what good it has brought the world over it's two thousand year history.
Dark ages = Murdering scientists and prolonging a period of absolute misery.
Inquistition = Murder for profit and securing christianity by eliminating competition.
Tell me the blood that has been spilt in the name of Jesus or has fallen upon the holy land. It would fill the fucking Dead Sea.
The greatest trick was convincing Rofflle and his sheeple that was a good thing. That is an amazing trick worthy of the greatest trickster in the universe.

Ok, here's my two cents, something no one has posted yet...maybe Satan does exist but doesn't want your soul?
Think of it this way, Satan is a busy being going around doing whatever he needs to do and you come along and yell "HEY! YOU CAN HAVE MY SOUL IF YOU GIVE ME A MILLION DOLLARS!" I mean, I'm pretty sure if someone on the street came up to you and said that you'd ignore them.
And to all those xtians, no he doesn't already have athiests' souls, your soul is your own. You can't sell your soul to anyone let alone Satan, you can however dedicate your soul, if you like, to his cause etc
All in all, he doesn't want your soul, stop annoying him.
Id sell my soul for a couple million dollars or a lifetime supply of every drug available. Either way, ill be happy. Not that it matters anyway because when you die, your dead. Damn life. lol.
