I was looking for some FM transmitters and stumbled on these:

Now I notice, it doesn't give a range on the details, so I assume these are only designed to work in a very, very close area. If this is true, is there any way to amplify these things to transmit at a greater distance?

Pardon any incoherency, I'm tired and going to bed after this post.

Of course you can amplify them - -but you'll want to have a bandpass filter on the amplifier to prevent interference with other stations (and other frequency bands).

Not sure how far you want to go. I've heard good things about these:

I've been considering one, but I'm just too cheap to pull the trigger on it.

I have noticed lately on ebay someone has designed there own FM transmitter. The person builds a couple with different wattages. I believe I saw a 30w and a 100w. Of course the 100w is more than doulbe the price of the 30w. Just interesting on how good they are. I can't find one now of course but in the posting it claims PLL locking and has a LCD display.
