View Full Version : Fitness Track
Myself and some friends from school were assigned the job to build a fitness track for the school rugby team.
We came up with a long list of ideas on what to include in this track, including:
Pull up bars
Push up bars
parallel bars
a sit up bench
monkey bars (slanted or arched)
a tyre pit
and a crawling field.
All of these will be around a small running track.
If you have any suggestions please include them.

Sit up bench? Push up bar? Crawling field?
What the fuck kind of school do you go to?
All you need is a rubber track and you can use them middle of it for strengthening/agilities. No sense in spending money just because you have it.
Yeah, looking back that sounds kinda odd... I wrote that in 30 seconds during class....
More fully explained:
My school has recently formed a rugby team, which participates in national competitions. As an effort to provide further facilities for the team, our coach thinks we should build this fitness track.
It's for competitive, and physical reasons. We are limited in who can be part of our team (it's a school team so only students of our school can take part) while all the other teams we play against are completely public and so have the advantage they can have whoever they want. We have to cope with who we have, and thus have to give us some sort of competitive edge over them.
The list I gave were the initial ideas, we won't come near to building all of that. I want to pitch the ideas to my coach, see what he thinks we should actually build.
It's not our money, it's the school money, and building this gives me service hours for my course, so I don't really care if it's a waste of money.

Depends on what fitness level your team has. The stuff you listed are fine for relatively weak individuals but they really should be lifting if they are have a good level of strength to begin with.
You will get better responses in reinvent yourself.
