our station got a bulletin last week about the sun interefering with our sattelite linkup to our news programming from various areas.

anyone else getting this? it sounds so weird...

Things like that usually happen when unusually high levels of solar flare activity are expected.

It's nothing too out of the ordinary.

I get it too. Early in the afternoon, all of my satellites (all 6 of them) all go offline all at once for 4 minutes or so, and then they boot up, with an email coming from the provider telling us what we experienced. You just gotta bend over and take it.
