Nobody gives a shit about baseball once football starts. Adjustments are seriously needed to the baseball schedule to make it over just as football starts.
But yeah, red sox are going to win. Poor Cincinnati :(

QFT once football comes I don't give a shit about baseball, but ya I can't believe they made a series out of that 1.
Baseball fans are going to care about baseball more regardless of what's going on. Organizations should be more concerned with fans of a particular sport than fans of all sports, which they are. I'd watch a Celtics preseason game over the Red Sox in game 7 of the World Series. If the super bowl was on, I'd flip back and forth between that and the preseason.
In Boston baseball is king. We care a lot about it here.

Did you go down to Kenmore Square? We just got back a little while ago.
^No, I like to sit in my house smoking weed, drinking underage and watching the baseball game. I have an HDTV and high def baseball too.
I work around Fenway anway.

2007 World Series Champions.
After watching 177 games this season, its a damned satisfying feeling.
^Told you. I knew it at game five of the playoffs.

Not to brag or anything, but I called it even before the postseason began.

before the season.
But lets face it, they SHOULD have won it. We all know that games are played on the field, not a lineup sheet, but they really have a great field of talent.
anyway, I was dissappointed in myself this year. I just didn't care as much about it as in 04. Maybe it's because I expected them to win? Maybe there wasn't the allure of breaking the curse?
Regardless, I went to bed in the 2nd inning of game 4.
But my excuse was partying hard after the game 3 win.

Well, game 5 of the play offs was when I started paying attention.

Anyone go to the parade? I didn't make it, but some of my friends did and got to see dropkick play shipping up to boston live. Fuck I wish I was there!

No, I was, however, one of the first in line for my FREE TACO just down the road from Fenway.

Papelbon's dance on stage was priceless: Almost as good as the scuba gear riverdance.

RESIGN LOWELL.

RESIGN LOWELL.
Resign him or re-sign him? I was about to call blasphemy, but I'm not sure what you meant.

Hehe, re-sign of course! I 'spose the hyphen makes a huge difference in this case.

Holy shit!
Where are there free tacos? I work around Fenway (in the Longwood area).

It was only on Oct. 30 from 2-5PM, thanks to Ellsbury's steal in game 2 of the World Series.
Damn. Did they run commercials? I was stoned during the entire post season and don't really remember much.
Blitzkrieg v2
2007-11-03, 18:32
Yeah, they ran it on Fox for the World Series and a few websites related to it, but they didn't do advertising outside of that, really. They probably wanted to limit the free-taco damage once the time came around.
Were they good tacos? What was the place called?
Blitzkrieg v2
2007-11-03, 20:57
Uh, no, they weren't really "good" tacos, but they were free, so they were good enough. The place is called Taco Bell.
On a related note, Taco Bell will be opening a new franchise inside my colon. They're everywhere these days.
Oh, fuck taco bell. I stick to my diet of bread, meat and plenty of herbs.

RE-SIGN LOWELL.
Remember in 2004 when Todd Walker was on fire and was a major part of why they won the World Series....Yea they didn't re-sign him after.

that was '03. Walker hit .283, 13 hrs, 85 RBI.
Lowell this year hit .324 with 21 hrs and 120 RBI.
It's a little different. Not to mention Lowell was World Series MVP. Sure, walker did well in the post season, but he didn't push them over the yanks like lowell did against the indians and rockies. Also, Lowell is a notoriously good fielder.

My bad, I'm all for keeping Lowell though, he is just about irreplaceable.

Watch the Celtics. They're playing the best basketball that's been played in Boston in at least 20 years.

What about football? The Patriots are as bad ass at football as the Red Sox are at baseball.
