View Full Version : Official Church stance on Muslims?
I was wondering what the official Roman Catholic Church stance was toward Muslims? I have heard them called Satanists by Catholics that are not Church officials. I personally believe that if they are worshipping the Abrahamic God they are going to heaven, actually I believe that all good people go to heaven but I defiantly believe that Jews and Muslims do. Sorry for the tangent, but does anyone know the official stance?

the RCC has the opinion that all spiritual people can get to Heaven. I think.

I've heard Mohammed referred to as 'The False Prophet' (in the Bible, this is), so I would imagine Vatican hardliners probably don't like them very much.

It's interesting how much of the most descriminatory parts of the New Testament tend not to reflect Jesus views, but of those of who knew him (or more accurately, those who knew those who knew those who knew him)...

Mohammed was born 300 years after the bible was written.

According to Benny and the Hats, if you aren't Roman Catholic, you're toast.

Mohammed was born in 570 AD. I don't think the Bible was 'written' in 270 AD specifically, do you? Also, you falsely assume that the Bible was written at any one date, rather than collected.
But you're right, I was wrong about the reference to a False Prophet in Revelations to being Mohammed, I think. I don't know where I got that impression from.

They have reluctantly surrendered the title of "the World's most hate-filled and intolerant cult". That's probably their stance.
