Hi everyone. I've accepted an invitation from a friend of mine to go to an open paintball day at a local paintball field. I will be using rental equipment and on my team will be some more experienced people. I've never been paintballing before, so I don't really know what to expect. Is it a similar deal to airsoft, only with more muzzle energy? And does anyone have any tips/things I should look out for? How necessary is a cup, if I plan to wear briefs, a pair of jeans, and some loose fitting BDUs?

Just wear jeans or bdu's unless you're a pussy. An old hoodie/sweatshirt is nice too with a tshirt underneath.

You'll probably get 98c's if you're renting, they are pretty simple to operate. You shouldn't have any real problems.

yep just make sure to keep you mask on while your playing and when your getting fired at i like to tuck my head in a little to protect my exposed neck, that shit stings a bit.

Have fun, I miss paintballing. I used to go frequently. Just don't be afraid to move up the field and bunker people and it only hurts for a second.
