I hear crickets.

Of course all I ever want to talk about is the Celtics, who are obviously doing great.. 1st in the league in field goal % by a wide margin, 1st in the league in field goal % allowed by a wide margin, 1st in assists per game differential (+8.. 2nd place is Phoenix, at 5.91). The team is 9-1. They're on course to get 74 wins.

(shut up, I obviously know they won't, idiot)
(EDIT- I didn't realize this, but the Celtics also have the best Rebounding Margin in the NBA. 10 games or not, the Celtics are dominating the 4 most important stats in basketball.)

Gilbert Arenas is out for 3 months or so with an injury. This sucks because I have tickets for Wizards vs Celtics in January.

What else.. Milwaukee and Charlotte are the 4/5 seeds in the East respectively. I don't know what the hell the Bucks are doing right, but when you go look at the roster it really doesn't reek THAT badly. Charlotte is the same way.

New Jersey is doing poorly, that makes me smile.

The west is going pretty much as expected. The Lakers are going to be the big sleeper. It seems like Kobe has finally figured out how to handle himself, he's involving the whole team and is really putting on the nice guy face on at halftime/postgame interviews. I can see good things happening for them (with the exception of tomorrow).

Yeah, I've kinda toned out the NBA over the last couple of years. Too much mememe and meaningless games for my tastes.

The NBA is my favorite professional league.

I watch it pretty much whenever it's on.

Meaningless games, yeah you have a point there, kind of. If you're talking about televised games. There are WAY too many Laker games on national TV. They're a pretty good team and all, but we don't need to see them every 3 days. There's also too much Heat. The Heat are doing shitty. It makes you wish they could change the schedule around on the fly a little bit so we don't have to see Sad Panda Shaq and a still slightly hobbled Dwyane Wade so much.
Although if you're really into basketball, you can get something out of basically any game. Meaningless games happen twice as frequently in MLB.

Mememe, that happens in most sports. I'm sure baseball fans are sick of hearing about Bonds and Alex Rodriguez. Football, in a way, is the ultimate mememe sport, because every team is pretty much the QB and some other guys.
