Should be some interesting matches. I'm mainly pulling for Poland to upset the Czech Rep. I don't care where I am, I will not miss that game.
Ireland's got a decent group and a good shot at qualifying, as does Scotland (given their group has only 5 teams but Netherlands are one of them)
England has a pretty good shot at being eliminated imo. The way they've been playing as of late I would not be surprised if they take 3rd being Ukraine and Croatia. This is going to probably be the most heated group and they better get their shit together if they don't want to be completely embarrassed in the football world.
Look for Greece, France and Germany to advance easily (though Russia might give those Nazis some trouble).
Spain-Turkey and Portugal-Sweden should be good games as well.

Hopefully we will have a decent manager by then instead of some fucking idiot.
I think England will qualify for 2010. We were too complacent at times and we've fucked up and been humiliated. I think qualification for WC 2010 will be demanded, and as we've got the raw talent then we should succeed.

With the right management England could do a good job, it's just there is no passion on the field, hopefully the next manager/coach will make them WANT TO PLAY, rather than just turning up, the "so called stars" need to be told that there places are not secure.
Favourites such as Paul Robinson, Rio Ferdinand, John Terry, Ashley Cole, Gerrard, Lampard, Beckham and Owen need a big fucking wake up call, Owen is the best out of that crop and that's simply because he does what he's meant to, score goals. The rest stuggle to string passes together. There are some shit players in the squad. What the fuck is Stuart Downing even involved for? Then of course we have utter shite such as Wayne Bridge and Gary/Phil Neville wanting a place, when in reality, they are nothing more than journeymen. Get some fresh blood in and play them, they may take some time to gel but you can't hang on to favourites forever.
We have some excellent players, that is undisputed, but the coaches don't have a clue. We've always fallen into a trap at international level for a long time. We just don't seem to do anything, very static, and TOO SCARED of losing, but all it does it make players make more mistakes. As previously mentioned, the favourites can't perform at international level, if they do, it's a rarity, players like Gerrard and Lampard could be outstanding at international level, but they just don't cut it. I'd love to see them do it. We praise the cunts when they beat a shitty little nation 3-0 or something, but the fact remains we bottle it against the bigger teams.
I remember watching england in 1996, it was awesome, since then it's gone down the pan. I can't think of a team since then that has done better. The 1998 team wasn't bad but underperformed. Euro 2000 was a joke, 2002 world cup was alright but again we bottled it against Brazil after barely qualifying, that wasn't too bad I suppose, Euro 2004 was utter shit, Rooney was the only one doing anything, we were shite when he got injured. The world cup in 2006, we weren't much better, as soon as we came up against good opposition we bottled it, in a game we could have won.
Players like Seaman, Pearce, Adams, Ince, Scholes, Shearer, Sherringham and of course Gazza made a great team. There's probably players I've missed out of there but those all stood out as good players that I remember.
It will be interesting to see who the next man for the job is, I don't think Fabio Capello would be a bad choice but I'd honestly prefer Harry Redknapp to take charge (he almost said he'd take the job if offered), with some younger coaches under his belt, would be a great combination.
Shearer could probably do the job, but I don't think the FA will go near him as head coach as he has no experience. Would Martin O' Neill take it? Probably not at this point, but we'll see, he'd be a good coach, really would do good things with that team. I'd like to see Alan Shearer involved at some point though, maybe just as a coach. Hell, Tony Adams would be a great defensive coach, whoever is the defensive coach right now doesn't have a fucking clue. None of the players can mark, the positional sense is shite and basic ball control is poor.
