The word of Jesus was recorded and interpreted by men. Even if taken down accurately, it has been changed and modified over time by private councils and individuals in power. It has been corrupted and so we should disregard what the book says, but remember that he was still a prophet nonetheless.


Now of course the Koran has been altered as well, but this would be the propaganda you would hear. You would also hear that the Koran, of course, is the pure, unaltered word of god.

Well, you could claim that it is all down to interpretation. Jesus says he is the Son of God, but could we all be the Sons [and daughters] of God by virtue of having been created by him? Maybe throughout all Jesus wasn't saying something like he was A son of God, and the authority that he claimed was not through being the sole biological son of God, but through his explicit faith in God. Jesus says that were our faith great enough anything could be accomplished, Jesus happened, like all prophets, to have full, unadulterated and pure faith in God, and perhaps it was through this faith that he claimed the authority that the priests denied him.

For example in the Bible we see the prophets and chosen of God doing some badass shit, Jesus may have been the same, just his message was differant and interpreted differantly. Perhaps.



Also, I believt he main problem in Islam with placing Jesus as the Son of God is that he is placed as God's equal, the Qu'ran states several times that there is no-one besides God, god is One and no-one ranks besides him. The problem is not so much that Jesus claims to be the Son of God, but that Christians see this claim as ranking him sitting at the right hand, and being the right hand of God and so putting him as God's equal.

Overall the problem is the belief that Jesus is somehow equal to God, rather than being God's servant.

In the gospels there's an incident in which Jesus is challenged by the Jews cause he called himself the son of god. That was a stoning offence of blasphemy under their religion so they took up stones meaning to kill him on the spot! His defence?

Jesus quotes the Psalm that says "You are gods", and then asks them if their own law says they are gods how can they stone him for blasphemy for calling himself the son of god. Jesus could not legit use that defence if he was claiming to be any different to you or I, in other words we are all the children of god.

As for Islam, the main problem is the seperation between god and man. In an age of quantum physics where science shows all things are interconnected, religions that claim god is one, and we are other, seem to be no more than relics soon to pass into the same class as the ancient gods of Rome and Greece.

Actually, it will, but you are evidently not sufficiently evolved to grasp this. For one thing, you are focusing on events of one single lifetime. The soul, the essential self--the REAL us--is immortal, immutable, invulnerable, and perfect, being part and parcel of God.

Judaism, Christianity and Islam are all talking about the same thing basically. Just each has it's own spin on things.

Judaism being the older religion whose holy writings (the Torah) being the Old Testament to Christianity.

Christianity comes along preching the Old testament until Jesus' life gave us the New testament.

Islam is about 400 years old (I think...Please correct me if I'm wrong) therefore, much like anything new, it's still got it's teething problems. The Qur'an is much like the bible from my (limited) understanding. It mentions most of the same people but they are viewed differently and Mohammed, peace be upon his name (gotta be PC these days for fear of teh b0mbz!), being the actual prophet of God (Allah) and Jesus was not.
The whole Jesus thing has been blown out of proportion with a lot of these guys because they are made to believe that they are right and everyone else is wrong.

hmmm, this issue is not new, Islam is tolerant in many ways and about teh bombz lol you can do them too, you only need some motive and btw if your thinking that the suicide bombing is caused by true momins [Muslims] then your wrong.
If a person commits suicide attack or any attack on an innoncent person he goes straight to HELL not heaven.

About the alteration of Koran let me tell you onething, it really depends on your faith if i said it's unaltered and gave you thousands proofs it wont do anything because your mind set is still the same.
