Actually, while I think its good to study and compare many religions, organized religion itself is something you should avoid.

Don't be a sheep. Decided for yourself what is and is not.

There are far too many religions to suggest one or two. Some sites where you can study various religions are religioustolerance.org or wikipedia religion and there's a list of many religions and you can study.
