It's from Greenpeace and it is about whaling dated 27 November 2007. It has a general introduction then states:

In just a few short weeks whales are about to be slaughtered again for so called 'scientific research'. In reality these whales will end up stock-piled in freezers because there is no commercial market for whale meat, despite the Japanese Governments best efforts to create one.

What's more, 50 threatened humpbacks and 50 endangered fin wahles are going to be slaughtered for the first time in more than 40 years.

Japanese whalers are on their way to the Southern Ocean right now. Greenpeace is also on the way so we can disrupt, document and delay the hunt

It then asks for a donation and states Greenpeace fights for sustainable environmental practices, and that they don't accept any corporate donations.

The also mention that year after year the Japanese Government tries to have the anti-whaling laws overturned.

Okay so what are your thoughts on this? There are a few things I'll say to try to get some conversation flowing.

What is the difference between a 'threatened' and an 'endangered' species?

Why wouldn't they accept donations from a corporation? I assume because they don't want to get tangled up with people saying they overlook occurences because of a bride they recieved or something.

I've always been kind of vague? What kind of research can you do with meat? What kind do the J's do with the whale flesh? This? Sounds delicious...

Whale Curry hits streets of Tokyo's business districts

A street vendor based mainly in Tokyo's business districts will begin selling whale curry lunches on Thursday.

Asian Lunch developed the whale mince curry lunches jointly in conjunction with Geishoku Rabo, a whale meat product development company.

Sales of the curry will take place in 14 areas throughout Tokyo, with 600 meals prepared.

Many middle-aged and elderly Japanese have fond memories of whale meat from their lunches during their school days.

Fisheries Agency officials said Japan's commercial whale meat catch peaked in 1962 with 218,000 tons. Since the moratorium on commercial whaling was imposed in 1988, however, the only whale meat served in Japan has been that not needed from mammals caught for research purposes. Last year, Japanese whalers used 4,154 tons of whale meat.

Whaling has sparked plenty of controversy worldwide, such as the United States calling for Japan to stop its whaling research missions. Asian Lunch, however, is hoping to attract more young women to the taste of whale as well as appeal to the traditional market of the middle aged and elderly.

How did Noah's men build an Ark big enough to carry whales?

Considering the fact it was 450 feet long...

Genesis 6:14-15 (http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/gen/6.html#14) Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.

Noah's ark is 450 feet long. The largest wooden ships ever built were just over 300 feet, and they required diagonal iron strapping for support. Even so, they leaked so badly that they had to be pumped constantly. Are we to believe that Noah, with no shipbuilding knowledge, was able to construct a wooden ship longer than any that has been built since?

Think about it, why would a whale need protection from...flood waters?

N,n,n,n,nnno! He needed protection for the fresh whale & the smoked whale & the whale jerky! To feed the other carnivorous animals. Otherwise a big whale would start to rot before it was all devoured.

...they'd drown?

Just how high would the water have to get to drown a whale?
