Let's say that you somehow had a vision from your God (or you were visited by one of his Angels, whatever), and he said unto you,

"Take now thy son, thine only son, whom thou lovest... and offer him for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of."

Would you do it?

Taking into consideration, of course, that you risk eternal hell fire for disobeying your God if you should so choose.

Also, for those of you who know your Bible, you are not allowed to assume that you will be intervened at any time during this sacrifice.

I'd ask "What the fuck?", I certainly wouldn't kill anyone because some apparition told me to. Rather, I'd consider having myself committed.
