Big big big huge games on tonight. ESPN, so go check it out.

The Celtics are playing out of their minds right now. Midway through the 1st they're beating the Pistons, but have some weak perimeter defense going on, and Rajon Rondo is lighting it up (Napoleon, are you seeing this? I told you about him. Billups tried to post him up earlier and Rondo gave him no ground at all).

And now 3 quarters later, Rondo is giving up a lot of ground and not doing much else.

I hope I'm not the only one that saw all of that. Too bad Boston lost but Detroit really did earn it. I don't mind them losing like that in the regular season.

Boston will come back down to earth when they have to make a long west road trip. Not saying they'll lose them all, but their record will return to normal.

When they play good teams that are healthy, such as the Pistons or when they first played the Cavs, they get good games.

They've been better than I thought, but they still lack the depth in my eyes to be a significant threat. Very little post depth, and not enough quality depth overall to give their aging stars rest.

I'm still not sold on Rondo. The few games I've seen him (the Pistons and Cavs games really), he was less than stellar. Poor decision making down the stretch. They should take him out of close games and just give Pierce the ball.

He seems like a quarter to quarter guy right now. Hopefully soon he'll be a game to game guy and once he strings a few of those together I'll see Boston as one hell of a threat.
