For those of you who don't know me, I am Mephistos Minion. I've been around here nearly 4 years now, of late though my presence has been scarce. This is mainly to do with all my pyro belongings being moved far from my house, only accessible on rare occasions. This is no more, as I have finished year 12 and I am moving to the property where all my gear is kept.

Anyway, a bit of nostalgia for you all:

A good couple years ago there was a strong network of "old hand" Australian amature pyros. Names like Po, blindreeper 30-06, PoorMan and Budget Pyro, only to name a few, were some of the most influential characters around this place. Of course there have always been the steadfast USA and European characters around here; stupid noob, moko, asilentbob, K9, aprenticechemist, ressotami (read it backwards, he pointed this out to me when I met him in london) just to name a few again.

Anyway the point of my (very hung over) ramblings, is that I would love to have a strong network of Aussie pyros going again. I have met several pyros from the internet in person, and plan to meet more (other peoople hopefully will be willing to meet up with me in my travels). Mainly people from APC, but also some who frequent here: Ressotami, zx300, Draco_Aster Rocket and Seymore (from NZ lol). They are all great guys and its good to meet people with a common interest, and who can also show you around the city you are in if they are a local (Sorry Hobart sucks balls Draco and Rocket :P)

So anyways, in this thread, I'd like all you Aussie pyros, old and new, to put down your email addresses and what state you are in (don't go more specific than that on the forum, only on IM/email).

Western australia - Me and kiknet share sources a lot, and there are a couple of posters who aren't BB specific but are certainly curious, so it'd be good to get a teaching ring going, especially with prac work.

Personally, I'm a HE man, oxidisers and general supplies (esp. fuse in my city are too hard to get a hold of to do any decent pure pyro.

Yeah me and FMJ converse alot and I'm in a similar situation to him, I've been around for awhile mainly lurking but I might know a thing or two however I haven't been incredibly active in practical stuff due to various reasons like time, money and circumstance but hopefully due to finishing school the new year will bring new opportunities.

That last accident budget pyro had has kept him away from pyro. I still talk to him on msn frequently.

It's good to see that a few people still remember me - sorry for being inactive for so long, eh, I'd had a lot of other shit happening and pyro had gone by the wayside - but I never stopped loving it.

Since I blasted my hand, it scared me off HE's and the like - though I've still fucked around a bit with guncotton and shit. My attention now is more focused towards the more pure pyro shit - making shells and rockets and whatnot, and I've been having some reasonable success at it too.

And yeah - Mephisto, when you're over in Canada, bung on the most atrocious bogan accent you can muster - it's gets you free drinks and women - trust me :P

Anyway, I may drop in time to time to see how the forum's going , and I'm still open for pyro discussion shit - I'll help if I can.

I was on the phone to a chemical supplier and froze up when he asked me what I wanted Perchloric Acid for (I only wanted a price, I know it's too dangerous for KCLO4).

Luckily the salesman is either a pyro or very tollerant (he asked me if i was "doing any Guy Fwakes shit") and I got on with the transaction.

Got some nice beakers for an average price of $7 each for various sizes. Am waiting on a quote for some other glassware and some samples of sodium :D

hey everyone im new to BB but been interested in pyro for a while best ive done is plumbers glue ixed with a whole lotta other crap big explosion homemade napalm(weak effort) but i have to say you have to love sparklers for the amount you can get and what they can be used for.

lets just say new years was crazy my fireworks were better than the local ones :)

Been a while for me too, havnt' really done much since i started Uni in 2007, good to see the aussie pyro scene is still half-decently populated.

I really only get to do stuff in the Uni breaks when i get home which is only about 2 or 3 times a year unfortunately. But anything is better than nothing.
