Doing in a forum dedicated to religion, & the religious?

It appears that 'Atheists', by their words and arguments in this forum, would belong in another forum such as OTH (Oh The Humanities!).

Here is the description of the forum OTH

'Philosophy, Law, Historical Debate, and War.'

Now this forum's (MGCBTHOOYG) description is:

'For discussing any and all religious viewpoints. Intolerance will not be tolerated. Keeping your sense of humor is required. Posting messages about *theological* paradoxes is encouraged.'

Definition of theology:

the·o·log·i·cal (th-lj-kl) also the·o·log·ic (-ljk)
adj.
Of or relating to theology or to specialized religious study

Now after I've read over almost every thread on the first page, today, and as I have lurked in this forum on and off for quite some time, I have realized that the over-powering by the Atheists is the reason that many Christians, and other religious people do not venture here hardly at all.

This forum seems to becoming nothing but a haven for the: 'Jewish Mafia' led; Communists philosophy, anti-God rhetoric, and self anointed 'Humanist' leaders.

Nearly EVERY thread, and surely MOST of the posts.. are geared toward flaming, belittling, and nit-picking,...Christianity... NO sense of humor there.

I personally do not like, nor want to argue, anything. The exceptions are technical (scientific issues).. and even then, I am slow to get involved.

The reasons I *try* to refrain from arguing.. is because it almost NEVER resolves anything.

In fact both sides usually just get more entrenched in their 'beliefs'.

This thread is meant to put in perspective, what this forum was possibly meant to be originally.... however I don't know everything about it's origins.

But I do know that is has now become a haven for Christian haters in particular, and religion in general.

The great irony here is.. Atheist 'Don't believe in God'.

Soooo, what are they doing here.. running, and ruining, this forum.

Constantly 'arguing' and flaming, even in the most innocuous and well meaning postings, by those of religious persuasion.... is what they are doing.

Would this be allowed (ie. my perceived views of this forum's guidelines being changed, without changing the description, as listed above).. in other forums, such as any of the scientific ones?

Would 'Christians' be allowed to 'over run' other forums.. to the point where the scientists said: "ahhhh.. the heck with this.. I'm not going to put up with this constant disrespect, trolling and hatred."...

ThereforeI propose that ALL NON-RELIGIOUS threads..

IE., those started by, hijacked, and otherwise influenced by, ATHEISTS, be:

1) 'moved' to appropriate forums (ie. Humanities, Bitch & Moan, Politics Left Center & Right, etc...

2) All posts that are obviously there to hijack a 'religious' thread, should be deleted without further notice, nor explanation.

Bottom line.. Atheists, the irreligious, the self appointed 'Masters of their own souls' (lol)..

Have already taken over nearly ever aspect of the World's Media...including popular quasi-technical sites such as: digg.com, ...

ONLY BECAUSE of the lack of complaints, and action by those opposed (ie. ALL good people, from all persuasions).

We, those that 'care about this'... should hope & help, that this does not happen here..

Where we still...* SHOULD*... have a place for all.. to park their minds... :)

Amplifiers are not included in the description of Radio Free Amerika (i.e. The ins and outs of the radio frequency spectrum, including scanners, trackers, building your own transmitters, mixers, and antennas, station formats, frequencies, favorite pirate radio stations, the FCC, radio stories, working at radio stations, and more.)

Does that mean they shouldn't be discussed there? No. Similarly, while atheism is not included explicitly in the description of this forum, it is a topic that is virtually inescapable from the discussions of religions, and thus is allowed to be discussed here.

If you think the topics of discussion of a forum are strictly constrained to what is mentioned in the description, you're sorely mistaken.

Your attempt to silence atheism in "My God...", fails.

"Waaaah! WAAAAAAH!! The mean old atheists are using facts and logic to shoot down the childish arguments that we religious fucksticks constantly spew, under the pretense of them having some bearing on reality! YOU'RE RUINATING MAH FORUMZ, WAAAAAAAAH.

Cry me a fucking river, you idiot.

Nice try, Halvy :)

This has been attempted before. Now, if you'd like another exercise in futility, go over to Science of the Damned and propose that skeptics not have the right to post their opinions there either. Let me know how that goes! I'll give Slave of the Beast the heads up so he'll be expecting you.

Every day I wake up early (about an hour or two) and I stare at the ceiling.

Usually about an hour passes and then I slowly crawl out of bed after giving myself ten reasons why I should.

Sir, you are 100 reasons why I should not.

Shouldn't this be moved to bitch and moan or something?

Has he brought up a discussion on a religious topic?

This is ironic considering he has made a thread discussing how atheists should not post here, and his own thread doesn't even belong here.

I suspected by the lack of input from Christians, and other religions here, that this was: The Policy, in this forum, along time ago.

Where were the 'Christians' (or any other 'good' religious, or even simply spiritual folks).. in my defense.. of 'their' defense, during this argument??!

Are they walking hand in hand with the Godless..

My point is made.. they have been 'run off',.. so the Atheist can now claim one small, nearly meaningless victories, they will EVER score, in their lives.

I never thought I could loose this argument, since you never can, when you are right.

The vitriol (hate) reactions to my recent posts.. also helped 'prove' my points.

Sometimes it is very GOOD, to bring out the worst in people... to show the world, what they 'are really like'.

This thread was a suggestion to change the description or title, at least, if you were not going to consider at the least; 'cleaning it up'.

As far as the threats and ideas set forth by the Atheists here..

You better start praying (to yourself?) lol...

That me.. or anyone 'like me'..

Doesn't ever rise to a position of authority, in this world..

Or in your lives.

The above is, IMHO, a post that isn't appropriate here simply because of the intemperate language, and ad hominem insult. We have strong feelings, obviously, but I think it behooves us to be civil.

Back to topic--atheism is not an organized religion per se--neither is animism, pantheism, or any number of othe r isms. It is, however, a legitimate religious philosophy and as such IS appropriate here.

I would add that over the years, I have observed that many atheists reject a God which is nothing like the God I know. I used to think that our choice was between the paranoid and petty deity of the Bible, or nothing. Tain't so.

What is MOST IRONIC, is that not only have the 'irreligious' taken over this forum..

But if they 'have their way', ultimately they will close the forum, based on their philosophy.

Which is, to eradicate all talk, mention, thought and practice, of 'Religion', and 'God'.

With enough of these.. whatever they are.. in power..

It would be 1984, for real.

It would seem to me, only logical, to have at least two different formats, in order to accommodate the different factions here.

Possibly two or three different forums, in order to do this.

Possibly one for Christians, since they are very large block, .. or..

A forum for all 'The Religious', only... and..

A separate forum where they could 'mix it up'... where the Commies would be free to run off as many as they please.

It's just soo obvious that the way it is now, Christians, and I suppose others, like Muslims and orthodox Jews, are either:

1) Tired of being made doormats, with no threat of retaliation against the perpetrators (Atheists mostly).

2) They see a forum, which is run by the NON-RELIGIOUS.. and they see no reason to try and strike up conversations... without the constant, inappropriate, and interfering, intrusions. (and please, I know there are 'minor' exceptions).

But.. they don't participate, as much as could be possible.

Not meaninless......pissed you off didn't it. If that was what we meant to do then I say this is a great and wonderful victory. That was not my sole intent however.....I will get back to this "meaningless" victory here in a bit.

The vitriol (hate) reactions to my recent posts.. also helped 'prove' my points.

Are you referring to the posts where you say:

"They (athiests) are becoming a larger, vocal and violent movement, especially against Christians.
Therefore, Gods people (ie. ALL good people, not just Christians) need to stand up to this challenge, and at least go-down-fighting.

My personal reasons are, better they get destroyed, than 'us'."

Cannot you not understand that hate begets hate? You accuse atheists of being violent and asks christians to help you destroy them..............AND THEN cry when a multitude of atheists jump at the chance to tell you to get bent?

Sometimes it is very GOOD, to bring out the worst in people... to show the world, what they 'are really like'.

Then you should thank an atheist for bringing out the worst in you. It is good to see what you are really like. Your hypocrisy is overwhelming.

You better start praying (to yourself?) lol...

Or in your lives.

And we come full fucking circle. I said I would get back to the "meaningless" victory post and here we are. The victory is keeping insane fuckheads like you from dictating everyone's life based on the beliefs you can only prove in your imagination. Victory be spreading our messages of logic, reasoning, and FREEDOM.

Atheism is on the rise in America. This forum may be a battle in the war but you have begun to lose the war as well xtian. Get fucked :)

I'm trying to play into your scenario, Halvy. I'm attempting to imagine an atheist forum that was suddenly "overrun" by Christians, and how the atheists would respond as such.

I'm pretty certain they'd just keep on keeping on, regardless of the kind of company they were having to mingle with. I'd like to imagine that if anything, having a dissenting view of their stance would make for more interesting threads and discussions.

There are Christians who post here, though they're not as numerous as the non-believers. You shouldn't hang that on the assumption that they were "forced" out of their domain ... if they stop posting here, then they clearly don't have anything further they'd like to contribute.

That said, since you seem to feel that Christians have lost their "voice" to the atheists in this forum, then please - step right up, and feel free to recapture that voice for them. I do, however, believe that you're grossly mistaken that if atheists "had their way", this forum would be closed. You forget that this is one of their favorite watering holes :)

I am not an atheist, and I think that they[atheists] should be here. I don't post much here because I don't need to verify what I believe with other people, all I need to know is if it works for me. What I believe in works for me just fine, and I'm content. I just don't post here a lot, and I have been here a while (since Abrahim), and I still think that atheists should still be here.

That being said, much of the religious folk have left. The few that remain are arrogant, snooty, and sometimes ignorant. Not all of them are like this, but a majority of them are.

Likewise, you should hope your vicegrip holds, theist. Were it not for years of brainwashing and torture holding you in place all over the world, you wouldn't be here. Or maybe you would, on the RIGHT side of the argument.

If you can't beat us, maybe you should think about why.

Halvy (http://www.totse.com/community/member.php?u=140701), has 32 posts. Halvy101 (http://www.totse.com/community/member.php?u=196935) - the guy that made this thread - has 2,800+ posts and most of them are in Radio Free Amerika.

Unless someone managed to hack his account and imitate his style perfectly, I'm guessing it's the real Halvy.

Actually, I quite enjoy religious discussion. It's a shame there's less bona fide Buddhists and Taoists posting here.
