Its time for me to get a new deck. I been skating for 2 years but was actually only skating skating for 1/2 that time. So I can do basic grind, kick, heels, and other simple stuff. My ATM board snapped as Im getting back into skating now. And i need a new deck.

I was going to go to the skate shop pick out decks that look good then picked the one with the best shape and weight, is this a good idea? And what diff is their between the pro lines and the blank ones, quality wise? Wanna recommend me someting?

Any deck from a major company is going to be more or less the same in terms of quality. Your main deciding factor would be the dimensions; the number of plys and the width were the most important to me. If you do mostly flatland stuff a thin deck is fine but if you're hitting gaps and stairs you might want a thicker one. As far as width goes, it's really just personal preference, I usually went with a wider deck, 7-3/4" or 7-7/8". But really the whole thing is personal preference and how you skate.
As for a blank deck, they're made the same way so the quality is the same as any other deck from that company, you're basically just paying for a graphic and someone's name on it.

Anything but habitat or birdhouse. I also don't like flip.

Get a blank.

I've been skating for ten years, and trust me, the names/graffics on a board aren't worth shit, much less $30 extra bucks.

Just get the shop blank.

...or ask for their throwaways. More often than not, they're pretty shitty. But hey, they're usually free, and you may get lucky and find one that's almost new.
