I think one last word on the subject is in order. Master Q, in case you were not paying attention, I did in fact, issue numerous apologies, and acknowledged that the infractions were inappropriate and presumptuous.

However, I still contend that making false allegations of what is arguably the most heinous and egregious criminal behavior constitutes libel (which is a criminal offense), goes way beyond the accepted norms for flaming and potty-mouthing in general, and should be grounds for being banned.

S'alright. But I think you have my optimism misplaced, for it lies not in that ArmsMerchant will separate his belief principles from his persona, but rather that it he is intelligent enough to place the right content in the right forum.

I don't understand the negativity displayed over this, as Arms has been posting in MGCBTSOOYG for about as long as I have, and he's carried his personal beliefs about his concept of God quite brazenly on his sleeve, like most of us do. He's put his beliefs about what God is in the right forum, for what other forum would be more suitable for posting opinions about that kind of material?

Due to the fact that the God concept is universally disagreed upon, it's somewhat of a fuzzy concept, in that there are many abstract interpretations to be considered. It can't be said that his (or Obbe's, or Vanhalla's, or any panentheistic-like, "all-encompassing" unified source of everything) God concept has any less merit than Christianity, Judaism or the many other religions out there that attempt to describe what God is. It doesn't have the tenure or popular antiquity of the others, but that's really all it is - just another interpretation of God.

My optimism lies in that I've never seen ArmsMerchant deliberately place a thread about psychic readings, communicating with ghosts, investigating the paranormal or alien sightings in this forum. Why would he start now? I managed to be a mod of Science of the Damned without getting the two forums confused. It's not that difficult to ascertain what goes where.
