The only thing I didn't like was when Revy started speaking Engrish in season 2. Well, maybe not fullblown Engrish, but damn it that accent.

That was fucked.

Especially the bits where Rock was translating from Japanese to English... or English to Japanese, or fucking Russian or something, which was subtitled for overseas viewers in English from the Japanese, with Japanese subs of the English translations for the domestic audience...

if quentin tarantino made an anime, i like to think it would look something like black lagoon. :D

black lagoon had some of the kewlest characters i've ever seen in an anime series. from the russian mob bosslady to all those freaky bounty hunters to the drunk, druggie irish getaway driver. i kept expecting to see john travolta and samuel l. jackson to show up.

...anyway, yeah. the characters and the fucking awesome action sequences. yar, and it's even kinda open-ended.

and i liked revy's engrish voice. it was kinda cute in a way. reminds me of this foreign exchange student i used to know....

though if revy ever heard me referring to her as "cute" i'd probly be a very dead man. :(
