I have a project where I have to compare Egyptian and Roman mythologies.
Anyone have anything worth noting?

They are pretty much the same with different names.

Not quite.
They have similar archtypes--that's why we call them archtypes--but the theologies differ radically, which is why there are no Roman mummies.

Roman and Greek mythologies are almost exactly the same, Egyptians based their ideas on nature, whereas romans and greeks tended to base it on everything they knew existed, like they had a god of doors.

OP, you might look into their brief flirtation with monotheism, under Akhenaten (aka Amenhotep IV), 1364-1347 BC.

Okay here's what I know.
Roman mythology was mostly the same mythology as the Greek mythology. The thing is, the Romans interpreted it in a Roman way instead of a Greek way. The Romans were a lot less "boo hoo, the world sucks" than the Greeks, and a lot more practical.
Egyptian mythology was not a lot like Greek myth, although the two did influence one another a fair bit. For one thing, Egyptian myth is crazily complex, MUCH moreso than Greco-Roman myth. There are so many Egyptian gods, it's not even funny. Also, a lot of those gods are actually aspects of other gods, which makes it even harder to figure out.
Basically, dude, get yourself to the library, and start reading.

Hahaha! This pretty much hits the nail on the head.
