While I don't really know I have heard on good authority that it interferes with your ability to do computational type things and to know what the fuck is going on around you but possibly makes you more creative. I haven't seen it make anyone drop out but I don't imagine it's very big among electrical engineering majors and such.

Your brain doesn't function quite as well when you're high, but some people think it's helpful. Namely some people in T&T and NiS claim that they can't code unless they're stoned. Weed only fucks you up when you're high, otherwise you're a relatively normal person. It's a lot like alcohol. Can a person who drinks occasionally function in class? If he's not drunk he can. As long as you don't decide to fuck your own life by overusing and being stoned all the fucking time, you'll be fine.

ASU isn't so bad, they have a good honors college. Those kids get the best of both worlds.
