Vode Geass has got to be one of my favorite shows. It won the best 2007 anime at the Japanese anime convention. The art is done by the CLAMP group which also writes the Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles, another favorite.

As do the themes of Japanese nationalism and the whole zomg evil empire stuff. And the generic giant robots. I don't know, everything about it pissed me off and so I didn't watch anymore.

Atleast make it to where Lelouch makes the biggest mistake of the series. Late teens if I remember correctly. Craziest plot twist ever, just when things were working out peacefully.
