i love my cb radio. I have a pretty nice radio shack model, and i'm waiting for a smaller cobra one to come... not sure which I'll end up using yet, but that's beside the point.

Right now I'm rolling with a fiberglass magnetic mount antenna. 3 feet i think? I dunno, i've not measured it. but it's a lot nicer than the metal one i had before, that was taller.

I am looking at this nice permanent antenna mount that goes in the door jamb, i think it would work well for my car that doesn't have a lot of other places for an antenna (it's a hatchback)... and I'm considering using a dual-antenna system.

Anyway, would i be better off with using a fibreglass firestick antenna (probably a four-footer, longest i can seem to find) or a 102" metal antenna like radio shack sells?

It seems like truck drivers seem to stick to fiberglass antennas, and i've never, ever seen a big-ass whip antenna on anything.

Any help would be appreciated.
