Well, isn't Satan here on Earth to tempt and corrupt man? Didn't God create the daughters of man of which tempted some of the angels in to lusting after them?
So God created temptation. And lust.
And some of the angels couldn't help themselves.
So now we have Lucifer doing to us exactly what God did to him.
Maybe they are of the same mould.
Discuss.

There exist two soils. One is pure, yielding, and nourishing. The other is clayed, rocky, and starving.
In the pure soil, all that grows is never in want. All that grows in this soil bears the good fruit.
In the clayed soil, all that grows is forever in want. All that grows in this soil bears a rotten fruit, bitter and poisonous to all around it.
The pure soil is that of trust, the plant is that of satisfaction, and the fruit is that of love.
The clayed soil is that of fear, the plant is that of desire, and the fruit is that of hatred.
God and Lucifer should never have been used to represent Good and Evil.
Good and Evil are One with God.

You're absolutely right. The words "Good" and "Evil" represent themselves just fine without a bunch of unnecessary metaphors and make-believe parables.

Well gee whiz Hex, we are talking about God and Lucifer not farming.
I seem to remember learning at some time that in the ancient Jewish religion, satan was just the angel who was the enemy of mankind. He wasn't the source of evil, or even the enemy of God. He was only the angel whose job it was to tempt humans. He was as much a servant of God as Gabriel or Michael or any of the rest of the angels.

What I said was about God and Lucifer.

Maybe they do, but thats not why I do not think God and Lucifer should never have been used to represent good and evil. I think metaphors and parables are very useful for explaining ones opinion, or the meaning of the words good and evil, for instance.
I think God and Lucifer should never have been used to represent good and evil, because it clouds the true meaning of God, creates this destructive 'battle' mentality, and that the concept of God and Lucifer used for this are unreasonable.

Satan/Lucifer is doing God's works its simple as that by just spreading the very thought of sin itself. Ask yourself this then. Why is our world going to shit, nothing gets better?
High rise of atheist, lust, and every sin imaginable is escalating. It's like our society is a teapot, all the negative/sin/bullshit is building up more and more steam. One day boom, the steam will just burst through.
People state the bible is bullshit or Christians take every word seriously. They do not get the point. The bible is only a riddle. That's it a mathematical riddle.Nothing more.Go beyond the text.
The more Atheist rant about there is no God. Just makes what Jesus statements even more true, and stronger. Everything that's happening is already in its works, set, and done.
Our thoughts are more powerful than we think they are. The more humanity has the very thought of something, in return becomes reality itself.
The more we have the very thought of every sin imaginable. Thoughts of sins spreads among us like a virus that eats every little good thing we hold dear. Such as our faith, love, compassion for one another.
What we are witnessing in our lifetime. Is just a reflection of our thoughts. The more people that have thoughts of end of our existence, war, death, destruction, etc.. ends up becoming reality.
Fear deny's faith, when faith is denied. We lose hope of everything. Such as compassion for one another, love.

Good and Evil are One with God.
If you mean that at the Highest Level, there are no such things as "good" and "evil", I totally agree.
In my universe, there is neither "good' nor "evil"--only what works, what serves my highest interests, and what does not.
