Can someone point me in the direction of some good nature-oriented anime?

I recently got finished watching Mushi-shi, and it's by far the best anime I've seen. It reminded me somewhat of Princess Mononoke(which I also enjoyed), however, as far nature-oriented anime goes, those are the only two I've seen. Any suggestions on what I should watch would be appreciated. ^_^

If you can find it, Origins of the Past.

It's a nature-based movie,

Basic plot: In the future the forest and mankind started a war. The forest won and controls most of the world. Man still lives in villages here and there, however there is still one militaristic city left. The boy Ageha is from the village that lives in harmony with the forest and discovers a girl from the past who is the key to the destruction of the forest and mankinds overall victory. Ageha strives to bring the balance to both worlds.

It's got tree people, you'll love it. The animation is superb as it was high budget.

princess mononoke is a pretty good one. at least, it's the one that comes to mind immediately for me. it's got this kewl nature vs civilization sort of theme to it.

fun fact: the english screenplay was written by my favorite author, neil gaiman. :D

blue gender is kind of a good example of nature trying to take back the world from civilization. i've missed a lot of episodes of that one. i should probly look for downloads...

can't think of many more at the moment. drunk. x_X

Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind is about nature, in the future! It's also by studio Ghibli so you might want to check that out. As for an actual series, I have no idea.

Pom Poko. It's made by Studio Ghibli and is about raccoons trying to prevent the destruction of their forests by humans.

In this film, apparently, raccoons can shape-shift and have huge balls.

Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind .

This.

And I know Avatar:the last airbender isn't exactly an anime, but it is about nature manipulation and things like that..
