I'll be there for 10 days in March. I'm planning on making most of the trip spontaneous but I thought I'd check here for any suggestions on activities. Sadly I'm missing Mardi Gras, but I'm sure there's lots of other good stuff there. What should I do!

Go see the buildings in the French Quarter, take a trip down St. Charles Ave, and get shitfaced after dark. Just avoid the alleyways and you won't get mugged. :)

I went there for a couple of days and I was pissed off I couldn't stay for longer. Theres all sorts of shit to do on Bourbon street. Theres this bar called Beerfest and they have about 50 different types of beer on tap. Theres a strip club called Larry Flints Hustlers Club. Although gamblings illegal in Louisiana they have alot of stuff that looks like gambling in the casino on Canal Street. I didn't see any nightclubs but the bars on Bourbon street are open all night.

By far the best part of the city I was in was Bourbon street. Also you can take a trip outside the city for the day and do a boat tour of the swamps and see the alligators. Get a brochure from any of the hotels and get them to pick you up outside the hotel.

Theres a load of those blues bars around Bourbon street too. If you wanna some good pictures to show your friends go to Larry Flynts Hustlers club and theres also this bar were the waitresses are all sexy ass bitches half naked and dressed as complete sluts. I got my picture taken with one of the sluts. Thats pretty much all I got to see the two days I was there. Its a cool city. I took a tour bus around all the areas that got destroyed by the flood. Theres a bit of damage left but its not half as bad as I thought it would be. Its pretty much rebuilt around the areas we drove through. We stopped at a cemetary. It was boring but it was by far the craziest cemetary I've ever seen. They have big giant tombs instead of graves. They bury whole families in these tombs. I don't recommend taking a tour bus around the waterlogged areas because the bus hardly ever stops and you don't get to see much. Your better off driving around yourself.
