I dunno where to move this, really. RFA seems the most likely place ATM, but... I dunno. kelsokid can forward it elsewhere if he judges it not to fit, so I'll send it there.
In any case, TV questions *almost never* belong in Network (in)Security. The only possible exceptions (and they're kinda borderline) I can think of would be discussing cracking into a TV network's satellite system, breaking encryption on the channels, or other things of that nature. This probably belongs in RFA or T&T.

Im not sure what you're trying to ask, do the channels and numbers jump around or something? You have some strange channel designations for having cable...

It seems like digital cable, because the digital channels have the .1 and .2 designations, and some have up to .5
The fact that you can't get to channel 1 makes me think that it's pirated, but that also doesn't add up because when you don't pay for cable, they will still let you see the cable advertisments (which run on Channel 1 with Comcast)
Do you have a digital box (has like DVR and On Demand)?

This is DTV.... I have it set up on my sisters 50', most of the channels actually have a few sub channels that have like cooking and shit, it's pritty cool.
Just get an HDTV box, or wait a few years until the government starts handing em out.
