just a quick silly question...

I'm writing a quick bio about myself. I'm trying to say how my full time job is to pay the bills, and that I have another job on the side I truly enjoy.

If being an auditor is my day job, and filmmaker is my freelance/passionate job.. would I say:

Auditor by trade, filmmaker by choice?

I got a feeling that doesn't make sense.
Could someone help me out.
