My girlfriend thought she was pregnant with my child , I wanted to get rid of me. First thought that occurred to me was that. Reason being is because I don't want to be burdened by having to take care of somebody , in every aspect of the implication.

She went to the hospital took a pregnancy test it came back postive , it was early so they're was a chance it could be wrong.

I had this unsettling feeling of regret and saying '' Forgive me '' in my head alot. Even though I knew I wouldnt ever decide to keep it.

She had her period couple days later , she wasnt pregnant.

I've heard somewhere that thinking about doing something in the eyes of god , is about the same thing as actually doing it ?

So , in that case.

If I was planning on aborting , but there was no baby to begin with but I still had feelings of remorse and still willing to carry it out.

How do you guys think that will make me look ?

"Look"? To whom? The ONLY opinion that really matters is your own.

You have done nothing wrong. God will neither judge nor punish you (face it, you're doing a good job of that yourself).

Forgive yourself, and go on with your life.

Me I dont support abortion in my own life, but for everyone else who am I to say what you can(not) do? God loves you all the same! However, consider this than a chance to consider not your feeling of remorse but to use the energy to contemplate whether or not you should slow down on the sex life... AGAIN, I'm not saying what you must do, rather this is what I would do.

Regardless of if there's some huge mystical entity watching us or not, sometimes you have to do what's best for you regardless of what god thinks.
And if you genuinely beleive that you wouldnt have been a good father to the child and that its life would have been unhappy, I cant see how a good and caring god could hold that against you.

And as for a Christian God frowning on you.. Well I dont think it's got a right to care one way or another, it's not as though it started showering money and baby equipment down on you.. so if it doesent care one way, how could a god care another?

God doesn't give a shit. God eats aborted babies for breakfast.

I would rather be unhappy than dead.
Not that I am against abortion it is just a poor argument.
Not that I believe in God but if God did exist I think he has been pretty helpful, what with this universe, planet and err you? Unless your devilspawn :)

I would rather be unhappy than dead.

I suppose that's our biggest difference. :)

You have alot more strength than me.

In a sense being unhappy is being dead... Whats the point of life if your not happy, not content with something or someone or even somewhere? If your just going through the drudgeries of life w/o any happiness or goal than in my view your a "dead (wo)man walking"
