I just finished watching Afro Samurai. Holy shit, it was intense. People were being gored, sliced, and Samuel L. Jackson continues to be a bad mother fucker.

I really enjoyed the art style. I thought it was a really refined and very well done. I greatly prefer that they made it five episodes with amazing art. I also really enjoyed the hip-hop by RZA. Besides Samurai Champloo, are there any other series that use this similar style of artwork or hip-hop infusion?

Another thing I noticed is that we don't have a post anime discussion thread. I don't know if we want to make a sticky, or just let people keep on posting reviews and queries like they have been.

Overall, what'd you guys think of Afro Samurai/The art style/hip-hop infusion into anime?

The closest thing I could think of would be Samurai Champloo.

And we can't make a sticky like that. Then there would never be any new threads. :(

I only saw the first 4 OVAs, never found the rest. This is stream by the way, I didn't want to download.
