I do, ish, well it would be pretty kewl at least.

I don't know a huge amount about Star Wars, so I don't feel too qualified to say but..

Perhaps more of a fantasy philosophy than a religion. Do they believe in a God? All they have is the force which like.. everyone knows exists. I don't think they regard it as a God; more as though it were some kind of natural force like gravity treated with special reverence.

It most resembles Stoic philosophy. The whole Sith 'fighting with passion' thing is perhaps hedonistic philosophy... Epicureanism?

Last census it was my city's sixth most worshipped religion.
So I suppose the popularity of it makes it a religion, even if it's just for satirists and obese geeks.

Agreeed--I think the only original part was the bit about "mitochondria," which meant the Jedi powers were somehow genetic in origin.
