You have a point, but, think this what, they were not characters in the show, they were faceless, unknown, you could not even call them characters. thats why i think it is lower on the list.

hrmmm...what about deaths during a flashback?

ya know, you're just standing there with your buddies in the middle of a battlefield and you're like, "yeah, i remember way back when--AAAARRGH!!" and that's it. a ninja pops up, plunges two or three daggers into your heart, and takes off your fracking head, and runs away leaving your friends with the trouble of burying what's left of your body and then avenging you.

don't forget the sad music. when i'm having flashbacks about a recently-deceased war buddy, i prefer that classical piece they played during sad scenes in the last season or so of fma. :)
