man i dunno what it is but wathin my old anime on VHS jus kicks ass compared to watchin dvds/downloads like my old cyber punk collection, the guyver series battle angel, shit even devil man OG bubblegum crisis, you get something from the old tapes that you just cant get on dvd... sigh

All I get from watching VHS is nostalgia. Reminds me of everything I bought or watched when I was about 13 or 14.

So I see what you're saying in that sense but in reality VHS sucks. You have to adjust the tracking, you have to rewind, the more you watch a tape the crappier the quality gets, the sound sucks, etc.

Rewinding and quality aside, I've never found it necessary to adjust tracking on any but two or three tapes. :p
