Internships they'll usually look at them.

I doubt most employers look at them after college unless you plan on doing research or technical work, in which case they'd look at you CV before they looked at your transcript.

Yeah, that's right in my experience. Unless your work is directly relevant (e.g. you're a chemical engineering major applying for a job at a chemical engineering facility), they probably won't care what your grades were.
