So I am currently going to school for a BS in CS, and I hate math. I was looking at the requirements for a BA in CS and it has less math and science. I was wondering if this would hinder my future chances of getting a job. Also, I saw that it requires a minor, does anyone know if it matters what it is in or if a BA is even worth my time.

You want to do a Bachelor of Arts degree...in Computer Science.

Suck it up and learn to enjoy the math. It's integral.

I personally think they're worthless in science.

I think you could maybe teach high school with it, but other than that, you'd basically be looking at no prospects within that field.

with that specific major, i think you'd want the BS degree. bite the bullet and make it through the math courses, man. you'll be glad later.

though it depends on your career plans. a BA in general is broader and if you plan on going to graduate school, might be better. but if you wanted to get a master's in a computer science field, i still think the BS would be better because you'd probably encounter that math again.

I have a finely-tuned pun sense :)

To answer the OP's question, though, I suspect it doesn't matter all that much. Prospective employers are going to care more about your experience and aptitude than they about your letters.
