this is what I got:

Northern

You have a Northern accent. That could either be the Chicago/Detroit/Cleveland/Buffalo accent (easily recognizable) or the Western New England accent that news networks go for.

What American accent do you have? (Best version so far)

Neutral

You`re not Northern, Southern, or Western, you`re just plain -American-. Your national identity is more important than your local identity, because you don`t really have a local identity. You might be from the region in that map, which is defined by this kind of accent, but you could easily not be. Or maybe you just moved around a lot growing up.

Northeastern

This could either mean an r-less NYC or Providence accent or one from Jersey which doesn`t sound the same. Just because you got this result doesn`t mean you don`t pronounce R`s.(People in Jersey don`t call their state "Joisey" in real life)

I'm from England.

I'm from Texas. I try to pronounce things as correctly as possible, so my score is probably similar to a news broadcaster. People have trouble identifying my accent owing to some difficulties I have with certain vowel sounds.

"Western

Western is kind of neutral, but not quite since it`s still possible to tell where you`re from. So you might not actually be from the West (but you probably are). If you really want to sound "neutral," learn how to say "stock" and "stalk" differently."

Hey not bad considering I am from California.

It says I have a "Northern accent," which is correct.

Just as a side note, the things this quiz is referring to are not accents, they are dialects.

A dialect is the regional intonation with which you speak a certain language, whereas an accent is the relic that is left over in your speech upon learning to speak a new language.

For example, a Frenchman would speak English with a French accent. A Southerner would speak English with a Southern dialect.

Apparently neutral, but obviously, I'm not American.

Western.

Although the correct naming of my particular accent is Mid-Western, I'm not from the West... I'm from the very east of Texas. I don't talk like a southerner, nor does any educated person around here. The only southerner thing I really notice in my speak is "y'all" for "you all". And even then, it sounds rather casual and unaccented.

People from outside North America probably think you`re from the States, but over here we wouldn`t make such a mistake.

Appropriate as I am Canadian.

I don't think it's that accurate for me, but I also don't think I fit in with any of the other possible ones.

I've lived on the Eastern Seaboard my whole life, so it's heavily weighted by that, but I've lived in somewhat diverse places there, so I have a weird mix of crap that influences me.

As long as it's not a Baltimore accent, I'm peachy fucking keen.

Western, but I'm from Texas. Close enough, I suppose, considering I have a fucked-up accent.

I had a British daycare teacher during some important period of language acquisition so I had an obvious British accent for a good while. It's still there somewhat. I'm told I sound vaguely British or German, and I can see it occasionally, especially when I enunciate more than is usual in the American English I'm used to hearing.

I probably sound more or less generic to most people, though.
