Butch what do you got against the pens or are you just delusional. Ott is missing there top 3 players, and the pens have Crosby Malkin and hossa, not to mention playoff god gary roberts who scores 1:08 into the game after being out since december with a broken leg.

I got Pens all the way.

Unfortunately, Ottawa seems destined to lose to Pittsburgh. They're too dependent on their best players and since Alfredsson and Fisher are out for the first round I can't see them winning. I don't how bad Volchenkov got hit with the puck earlier but I hope he's back before the end of the round.

All that plus neither of Ottawa's goalies is playoff quality this year.

Still there's always luck.

Maple Leafs all the way in 2008-2009.

we'll see buddy....Being realistic, it'll take at least 2-3 years before they become a team again.

Wings are winning this cup. No team can match their depth, puck control, and goalies.

So it's an all Pennsylvania Eastern Finals. I'm gonna say Penguins in 5.

Sharks will win tonight (Sunday), force the game 7, and win that one too and create history. Then, Red Wings will take the Western Finals in 5.

Pens-Wings Stanley Cup Finals: Pens in 7.

That would be horribly disappointing if the Sharks win the series after being down 3-0 and then lose in 5 in the Western Finals...goodness gracious...

Well, so far, so good in my prediction. Sharks still alive and onwards to overtime number 2!

But to finish on your point: the Islanders did the same thing back in the 70's. Came back 3-0 in the Conference Semifinals, and then bowed out the next round. Then again, the Sharks can always do a reverse sweep, and just storm for the next 8 games and take the Cup. They'd be like the Red Sox of the NHL with an extra round in between.

and now overtime number three...haha this is so intense.

all i can say is that Nabokov's save at the beginning of the first overtime was utterly insane.

And that save was fucking awesome.

Welcome to my world...as a Maple Leafs fan...in NYC.

Valiant effort though to keep their season alive a few more periods by the Sharks, and making game 6 fucking entertaining as hell.

Nabokov for Vezina! He's been so good all year and he was a beast in the playoffs.

Wings, Pens, awesome for the NHL. Will the rules bend again for Crosby? Damn straight they will, but the Wings will take it in 6 nonetheless.

Looking like Wings in four. Pens are looking like Ottawa in the first round, no goals in the first two games! And similar to Ottawa in last season's playoffs too, actually. Destroying every round until the finals where they end up getting owned.

Never underestimate the pens at home.

Looks like the Wings in 6 prediction is holding up quite good.

On a different note, will the NHL continue its momentum in terms of audience viewership in the US next season/playoffs? Probably not.

Game Five. Wings can win the cup. Overtime tied 3-3....

3 overtimes, I think they were outshot 56-24 or something similar. its not often a team gets out shot 2 to 1 and survives 6 periods. fleury was outstanding.

He was the only reason they won that game. Otherwise, Detroit owned the Pens completely. Hopefully Pittsburgh wins tonight, game seven would be intense, and have Detroit win the cup at home.
