On two seperate occasions, I've blazed a bowl or two and then proceeded to study psychology / chemistry.

I get mostly bad/mediocre grades, but on the two occasions, I got a B on the chem test and an A on the psych test.

Is this coincidental, and should I not do that, or could it be something that benefits me personally?

thanks

Your recall levels are, supposedly, at their best when you're in the same state of mind as during your studies.

I think that being high during tests actually improved my scores... not so much with studying. The teacher would always mention parts of the assigned reading and it would all come flooding back during class if I'd studied stoned the previous night.

For me it really made it a lot harder, when your high your memory gets shorter. It would always give me a headache when I would try to study high.

I would study high and forget the information until the teacher mentioned it in class. Then everything would flood back. I took 3 hash waterfalls before class last year and right when I walked into class... surprise quiz! I earned a high B on it. Weed tends to help me with critical thinking when I'm in the mood to study.

Writing a paper high is a much better of an idea than writing one drunk.

Weed and academics can be completely detrimental to some, and for others can give them astonishing improvements.

It's just everyone listens to the government campaigns and not to the individual experiences. Don't be afraid.

In short...it looks like you might succeed on weed...give it another try

My friend and I got blazed in freshman year the day before finals for two classes.

I aced them both. My friend got Cs on them. Depends really on how your mind works. Do you memorize things when you're studying or do you learn it holistically?

Memorizing while high = epic fail for me

For pretty much all of high school I got high every day. Would have a joint or two at lunch time, and whenever I had free periods. When I got home I would get food, then go out and have another, skate for a while, have another, for most of the night. When it got cold, we would go inside and get high.

Got consistent A's and B's through highschool, however when I went to the exams, I would stop smoking for a day or two, and save it till after them. I did horribly in the exams, and straight out failed one of my strongest subjects.

So for the final exams, I decided to get high. Did really well, A's and B's.

So I guess that means that I took the information in when I was high, and it comes out best when high?

It's a much much more comfortable state of mind, with the added lethargy, instead of panicking about failing, and filling your mind with negativity you just think about the question at hand.

I've stopped smoking weed now (sort of). And my grades at university aren't as strong as they were in highschool. Next semester, I shall experiment.....

It depends on person.

As for me, when I study, I can't go thinking "Oh yeah this is too easy". I'd get lazy and flunk it.

I do better if I think it's super fucking hard.

One thing I notice about studying being high, is that I study longer.

Edit: I'm not very fond of studying night before. I have excellent short term memory, so I always study 5 minutes before test/quiz/exam. I pretty much aced on everything if I do this.

Just like I said before, it depends on person.

Why not just smoke on weekends or on days when you don't have shit to do?

It can go either way for me.

I find I'm okay to write an essay when stoned sometimes.

Reading for it, not so much.

Whenever I try to write a paper while high, each sentence has nothing to do with the other. Probably because I take like 5 minutes to come up with each one.

Someone told me that if you study high, you should take the test high as well. I guess it works better than studying high and taking the test sober. If you're in the same state of mind you can remember things better.
